Advice From a Raccoon

Advice From a Raccoon

A Poem by nava

Hide. Hide.

Over here, over there.

No one will find me,

no one will know.

Food. Food.

The centre of everything.

Millions to feed,

millions to know.

The pitter-patter.

Underestimated at best.

Yet we’ve passed every test.

Unlocked your door.

Unlocked the pantry.

A thief of the night,

yet that's not all about me.

Clean. Clean. Clean.

That's what we do best.

Yet do not betray,

we don’t always forgive.

Thats cool! I like how you write from the perspective of a raccoon as being an animal that passed every test set by humans. I especially like the line "clean, clean, clean" as the raccoon essentially cleans out the pantry, gathering all of its food. I enjoyed reading this!
