Sonnet 1: my pen edition

Sonnet 1: my pen edition

A Poem by Cara

Who wouldn’t want more beauty in the world

A legacy that should be carried and passed on

As fathers die, children come along

Making sure that the beauty’s never gone

But you are blinded by the beauty of your eyes

How can a rose, be its own muse?

A kingdom can’t be strong without its allies

being alone is a curse that only a fool would choose

Your beauty is fated to disappear with time

Every day is a risk, that you willingly take

And when you die, no child will cry

the world will move on, forgetting your name.

It’s a pity that the future won’t get to see your face

it’s a shame that this beauty will rotten in a grave

I was studying Sonnet 1 when I decided to rewrite it with my own words. I did write it at 03:00 am but I like it
