Boys And Books~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
"

Throwing up the soul one spark at a time, as usual.

"

I fit better with boys

I fit better with books

Little girl in petticoat
dreaming of climbing trees

I got lost in a forest of stories
Hansel stitched into my eyelids
Gretel under my flexing heart

I was never there
in your world
I was always ten steps ahead
drawing fables in my skin
drenched in candle light

When I met Pan
under my bed
I wasn't scared
I was electrified

He still sits with me at the edge of the forest
sometimes he is a boy
making mischief
sometimes he is a book
making for me a beautiful adventure

I can see a thousand folds
my life from there to here
and back
a lace bib
a flower kerchief

Inside a forest of books
life is always
beautiful

I'm happy to see you back for a visit. I hate to use cliches but books are another world. I've got about a thousand lined up and ready to read. I've started 'the haunting of hill house' and I hope to continue.

Your language is still ripe and enjoyable. I'm sure others (that still review here) will enjoy it immensely.

Longtime fair Deme! I've been away from here for years and now you are probably gone again. Too bad I missed your visit! So I will just leave this brief note pinned by this stone here at the forest's edge, where I too come to sit with Pan and sometimes I'm a boy, and sometimes I too am a book, and like you, sometimes crawl inside the words and swallow their meanings which as they bury my bones into the ground are sucked up by the roots of the trees and blossom as leaves overhead the next me who sits in the forest with Pan...your work is the lovely freeflow of creation where clever thought twines with untethered fantasy in colorful rivulets of mind-speak with their own enticing smell and taste. Forbidden mind candy with subtleties that linger long after their caramels have melted away

We are what we are but, books tell us differently. The might of the pen sketches emotions, colourful observation being in the top one., Your writing persists, as it always has.
