MemoryA Poem by Serena MithaneMemories are all that's left.
The cold is piercing,
I lean back and let out a sigh. Why'd it have to be this way? Tell me honestly, was I not enough reason to stay? And now I'm wondering if it was something I said. Because you know, that I never wanted this to end. And we're miles and miles apart, but you know that I'm still holding on. to the memories, because everything else is gone. You're not here beside me, as I lie awake, I stare up at the stars. I hope you know that you're still holding on to my heart. And sometimes, it feels like you're still here. I take a breath, it's like you're so near. And the memories are haunting me, all the ghosts of what used to be. Everything we had before is now just a memory. © 2010 Serena MithaneAuthor's Note
