Surprise is always special

Filling us full with joy

Letting our hearts skip a beat

Surprise, where are you?

Here I am!

I’m also with a group of people

Wanting to celebrate with you

Freely letting your celebration

Be as happy as you want it to

If it is your birthday

You get lots of presents

And if it is a housewarming party

You still get lots of gifts

Surprise is a wonderful feeling

When people call it out

Or sometimes it’s a thing

Pulling you to its side.

A nice little poem. I too enjoy the feeling of surprise. I only wish it had flowed a little better.
