Souls Shudder

Souls Shudder

A Poem by .:Arianna:.

Dear darling:

When i see you

more and more

in dreams

and less and less

in real life,

does that mean

we are losing

each other?

Do not think of us

tonight,

i will do that

for both...

It is getting late

but as you said,

it's never too late.

Mist, cloud and shadow

have covered our stars...

But i have spent

so many nights

of my whole life

looking up there,

i know exactly where

they are.

And they are still shining.

If i lie down

on the soft, green moss,

will it cover me,

make me one with the Earth?

If i step into the ocean,

into her cold waters,

can i melt into foam

and be carried

to the land across?

Dear darling,

i insist.

Someone made a mistake

and misplaced one of us.

And i think

they don't even know.

I think they forgot,

and killed us both.

Or at least,

the ones we could have been.

"Mist, cloud and shadow

The poem is written with skill and the language usage made your words come alive. I like the questions of where the love had went and the desire to understand the quiet separation. A beautiful poem with a very good story. I like the ending to the outstanding poem
