About those people we have known so long, but barely really 'know'.

about who I am

and what I dream of.

my dream

is you.

A dream so sweet,

it would not be fair

to the other lovers,

to ever be true.

You are nothing more,

anymore,

and nothing less

than this sweet

nightly visit

in my mind...

A shadow,

swiftly coming in

through my open window,

a breeze,

a moment

of reality,

a kiss of rain

on lips already moist.

You broke my heart,

and you don't even know

when.

Or how.

So far away...

So drawn to dancing

with oblivion,

I cannot keep up.

I stretch my hand

to the dying stars,

count the possibilities...

The years pass by,

like petals falling off

a rose.

The rose knows

it is withering.

But I still hope

you will be there,

to pick my petals up,

when Time is ripe.

In the only place

you can ever

really

love me.

Dreaming you to life,

was the most beautiful mistake

I could ever make.

For you are not

the way I created you

in darkest fantasy of night.

The real reflection of you,

I shall never

unveil.

For the rest 

of my life,

I can only dream,

and ponder.
