I can think of you

I can think of a million things

you used to do

I can think of your smile

And also that look in your eyes

But thinking no longer cures

the ache in my heart

Because i miss your touch

And the way we were in the start

I can think of all the things you said to me

I can think of all the things

I wanted us to be

But thinking no longer makes my heart rejoice

Because i miss your sarcastic jokes

And also your sweet voice

I can think of a million things

But nothing can ever compare to the real you

And everything you used to do

I don't know why

But thinking is no longer enough

to sate this restless heart

I just wish we could go back to the start.

I liked it! It gives a very familiar representation of a loved one and manages to illustrate the suffering and dread of losing them. From a critical standpoint, it could be more powerful and include more specifics maybe:) that really brightens the image and makes the poem more intimate. Like actual specific places, quotes, objects, etc. but that's just an opinion haha. But it was truly great and I enjoyed it:) keep it up, thank you!
