Sunflower

Sunflower

A Poem by SHALINI GUPTA
"

Spreading the bright sunshine of hope and love in this world. To stand with poise and confidence as the Sunflower does.

"
Sunflower
The emerald green and tuscan yellow
The eyes sweet amber
and nectar to savour
standing tall in the fields
calling all the birds and bees
giving cheer,giving hope
asking the lord of sunshine
to bathe the world in its golden pine
sometimes smiling, sometimes wilting
yet steady and confident
facing the sun with morning gleam
swaying with the wind
to welcome or bid goodbye
wonderfully captured in a frame
Marvellously drawn against the azure skies
borders deep brown with golden flavour
O lovely ring of flames..

This is filled with such beautiful, radiating light. How I love sunflowers in my garden, and you capture so well their burning wonders. Every line is lifting life.
