Taking it Back

Taking it Back

A Poem by Aradie Rain
"

For my brother Tray

"

I’m going to fight

I’m going to fight

To get you here

No matter the pain

Or how many tears

So

Stay away from the drugs

No smoking or beer

And maybe just then

That will get you here

It might take time

Hard work

Lots of dirt and grime

Money for tickets

Ill pay every dime

To get you here

My little bro

Your going to be saved

that’s how I roll

You aren’t going to starve

Not when I’m around

Someone hurts you

They gonna to hit that ground

I’m was supposed to be there

Because no one else was

Instead I left you

Without a care

I had an epiphany

Its time for me

To make up

What I did to thee

So forgive me brother

Let me be free

Of the pain I have caused

I will bring you home

Its were you belong

Not with strangers

Or all alone

I will protect you

Unlike before

When I left you to rot

On someone else’s door.

You are my brother

And I your sister

It bond we’ve had

Since broken arms and blisters

Let me open the door

That was shut to you

Inside is a treasure

Oh so true

Its called a family

Something we lack

And if we want it

We can take it BACK
