Railway Tracks

Railway Tracks

A Poem by Aradie Rain
"

From the perspective on the man I was on a date with along time ago.

"

I never had much self-esteem

until you came I was so dumbfound.

You were the one I needed

to turn myself around.

I remember that night

Down at the railroad tracks.

The moon was shining,

glistening in your eyes.

We walked and

We danced right through the night.

We talked till early morning.

The sun was rising

you had to leave,

some one would notice you were not home.

You leaned into me

With one quick kiss

and went on your way.

That was the last time I ever saw you...

I remember dancing,

right on those railway tracks.

You warned me when one was coming,

You were always good at that.

Could tell me anything I wanted to know,

That was your favorite place to be.

The moon was shining in your eyes,

lighting up my world.

I remember dancing on the railroad tracks,

the very last time I saw you.
