Moonlight Acid

Moonlight Acid

A Poem by Aradie Rain

Empty streets dimly lit by moonlight

Cracked concrete, light rain fall.

Fading paint lines and littered gutters.

The streets of night, so pieceful and calm.

No person in sight, just the rain on my skin.

Each droplet of rain releases my emotions,

sending them screaming into the black night.

The swelling gutters full of liquid suffering

empty down stream, mix with the world around.

Clouded sky, blocked the stars gaze.

Sheild us from the onlookers above.

The trees rustle while the wind screams in pain.

Rain falls like acid on the eyelids of the earth.

As the world closes its eyes to another day.
