FROZEN CONUNDRUM

FROZEN CONUNDRUM

A Poem by shan337

In whose hands should reside
The power to control a people
Power-hungry control-freak politicians
The Presidents,Chancellors and Governors
Their numbers too small
Or the gullible commoner
Numbered in millions
Who whiles away hours watching T.V
The answer we might never find
And yet these two elements
Smile their best fake smiles
Whenever they cross paths
At the moment though
A law and a Constitution stops them
From tearing the other one apart
But a day shall come in the future
When the masses no longer feel the need
To be told right from wrong
And they will have grown sick
To leave it to a handful
Io determine their rights and obligations
To be treated like a savage in suit
With no conscience at all
That day will be the day
When we would've reached the zenith
And every soul would be truly free at last
To sing,to dance,to kiss,to love and to live
