The tree in me

The tree in me

A Poem by sharkster8069

Looking at that tree,
Thinking, what life would it be,
Its branches reaching so far,
As if trying to reach up to the stars,

If I was a tree who would I be?
weeping willow, internally hidden in the middle,
Branches hanging so low,
covering to protect, scared to show,

Maybe a maple tree, sweetness inside, so much to share with thee,
Little to hide, could that really be me?
A Pine Tree, angry on the outside, exposing many sharp needles,
Forcing those to keep a safe distance, all because I don’t like people,

How about a cactus, the prickly pear,
My branches don’t move, I don’t sway anywhere,
Look of a beast on the outside, full of life’s necessity within,
This one, even has some sweet fruit to share,

All of these tree’s, it’s hard to compare,
I don’t fit just one, All, I have similarities we share,
I could not pick just one, I am all, so I am done,
