Do you think you've got a reason to be

Something other than a bird or a bee?

Hold me closer but don't kill me with your bark

It's sweeter than a cherry tree, pulling me up the yard

Your mother is home, dandelions are sitting in the vase

There's no glass on the floor, this really isn't what you thought it was

Old emotions tumbling into sight, 

It's a rolling stone picking a rag tag bone fight

Just go away, you want to save me for another night

But i will 

Stand against the waves and yet

I will :  still put out your cigarrete

I know : that things are always easier in hindsight

No amount of friends will keep you warm at night

But now It's just me alone, my hands flying out
