Greetings From A Wayfarer

Greetings From A Wayfarer

A Poem by Shayla Sayer

I am a windflower

Blown across the world

I have no home.

I am a windflower

I cannot chose my path

I neither lead nor follow.

I am a windflower

I exist only in dreams

I was never real.

I am a windflower

Pulled by an invisible leash

I will never know my master.

I am a windflower

I will never take root

I will never live or die.

I am a windflower

I left all feeling behind

I can never return.

I am a windflower

I am a lost hope

I will never learn to love.

I am a windflower

See me as I fly"

My peace is an illusion.

I am a windflower

I said goodbye before hello

… You will never see me again.

I am a windflower.

Contructive criticism is hard when your stuff is so good...but I found one place that didnt work for me (opinion of course) See me as I fly, My peace is an illusion - everything else was contrasted by the opposite...this could still work if perhaps, See me as I fly, I have no place for a restful landing... or something like that (perhaps just No place to land/nest)...great work though
