flag phone water chair desk hair

A Poem by shelbig

Sestina

Red, white and blue is the American flag.

Call America with a phone.

We have the best water.

Sit and watch in a chair.

Maybe even at a desk.

Let it flow with your hair.

Tie up your hair.

Cross it like the flag.

Get up out of that desk.

Hang up the phone.

Stay in the chair.

Drink a glass of water.

Take a sip of water.

Don’t get any in your hair.

Stay sitting in the chair.

Let it flow like a flag.

Make the call with the phone.

Place it on the desk.

Writings on the desk.

Wash them away with water.

Take the phone.

The beauty is in the hair.

Don’t erase the flag.

Stand from the chair.

Grab the chair.

Put it by the desk.

Fly the flag.

Ice is in the water.

Let it float like hair.

Don’t leave the phone.

Pick up the phone.

Let your body rest in the chair.

The wind going through your hair.

Keep the desk.

Let it freeze the water.

Don’t let the water freeze the flag.

Leave the phone on the desk.

With the water on the chair.

Let your hair fly like flag.
