Remember Me (poevella)

Remember Me (poevella)

A Poem by Kopa...
"

here there is no line between poetry and storytelling.

"
Remember me! i would scream in a low cut voice, my days are numbered, aren't ours all?
i remember a Gandhi quote "anything you do in life will be insignificant, but its important you do it",
it gets me thinking, what then is this life for,
upon all my mishaves, misgivings and the lot,
what would be left of my being when i take the train to world of the unknown?
Truth is, nobody knows, even the priests can't help me on this one, it is a mystery only i can find an answer to.
What have been my contribution to existence?
my addiction to reading or that of mind-altering substances?
what have i done to make a change? would it really count when the time comes?
all these questions we look to the sky to find answers, still, not even echoes are we guaranteed.
Time runs out for the man who sits and ponder all these, afraid of making a mistake nature never wants you to, who would be the judge on that day when it is time to choose between heaven and hell, i sure do have questions for him, for one, equality is a must-ask.
that kid born into poverty before she could alter a single sound,
that boy born into a family where he dosn't seem to know what fatherly love is,
why i would be called ugly and another man fine", whose doings are these?
as i sit on my desk, books clustered around, papers of questions without answers littered about, eyes red from too much reading mixed with reactions from the whisky bottle, today i do not have the answers, maybe someday i will, that i am not sure,
before my time ticks out i should know, right?
In all these i still remain where i began, lost and troubled as i began the search,
before i will be found no more, please,
i beg with the last strength of sincerity i posses,
 Remember Me.

Kopa...
telling a story through a poem seems fitting, but this isnt a story, it is a work of the mind, am sure a lot you writers out there have asked questions like this, if you have answers i would love to hear em, leave nothing out.

You are welcome...:).........................
I have to apologize, I just sent You a review with lots of typos. I just wanted to retype what I didnt type correctly. I had referred to a line from a song from Jim Morrison from The Doors. I think the Title of the song is called,"End Of The Night." the line says,"Some are Born to Sweet Delight, some are Born To endless Night."I always remembered that line from the song. I feel it sort of ties into what You are saying. It also somehow always left a big Imprint on Me. I, as well often Ponder so much of what You wrote about. I will tell You this, Today when I do good for others, I now do it for Me. I understand there are times it may not truly be Valued by all. However I do it,because its' who I truly am and it brings me Joy to do Good deeds for others. Somehow I Tell Myself it doesnt just go in Vain. I will definitely remember this Poem. It Truly touched Me, and Holds such significance to Me!

Your Writing got ne thinking a lot. It touches on a lot of very significant themes!
This was a very Beautiful anf very Heart-felt Poem. It covers so many important Points. I must admit, I often ask myself the same questions that You cibered in this Poem. I realized that there are many thigs in Life that often don't make sense. For example, the Point You made about a Boy being born into Poverty, and not knowing his Father. These are questions I often have. Why is it that some suffer more than others?Jim Morrison the singer/Poet frim the Doors, once sang in a song,"Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to edlessd Nighr>" That line always stood with me. I realize in Life there are some things we can not figure out, I try to leave it to Faith However Your Points in this Poem I have so often also thought of to Myself. Beautiful and Significant
write!
