Love knows no bounds

Love knows no bounds

A Poem by Danielle
"

I don't really know if this falls into the poetry or story category but i've placed it as a poem

"
"Love is a crazy crazy thang" they all sang
The country crooner will have to admit that later or sooner

Dwight Yoakum sings from the jukebox "I'm a thousand miles from nowhere, time don't matter to me."
She sits at the bar downin whiskey gettin all shook up and frisky
Whistlin at a Billy Bob Thornton look a like she's about to strike
Her left eye purplish black, she wonders whether to go back
Back to that trailer fallin apart, back to that man who took her heart

An R&B soul sister dances in the club to an old classic 90's jam Mary J. Blige's Real Love
Dressed to kill, lookin sexy and chill, but only she knows what is the deal
Her chestnut eyes lookin straight into a man lookin like Tyson Beckford beckoning him to her
She's ready to explore, but again once more she questions whether to go back
Her lip red and black, she don't know if she can just let him go
Back to the shared crib, back to the man lovin every woman but her

A raven haired beauty sits against a willow tree, the turqoise rain saturates bleeding cuts beautifully. The lightning strikes, the thunder roars, her black cat purrs. Solitude has become a part of her darkened heart. Across the field she sees a dark prince on his knees, waving her to him she tries to go but thinks perhaps no, her wrists dripping crimson liquid, perhaps now it is too late for her unfortunate fate, a heart's debate

Thanks Neva
You have a way with words--this is very descriptive
both of externals as well as internals.
As to the poem/short story debate... I would land on short story side of the debate or, with a bit of rhythm, it would go poem for me
