Rag Doll

Rag Doll

A Poem by Shimmering Lights
"

Feb 18, 2010 Another poem lying about on my deviantart account. I actually liked this one, and I guess I still do.

"
Forgotten and dusting on the attic floor,
Her eyes are void of emotion.
Her limbs are limp.
Her skin is an array of patches.
Her hair is dull and coarse.

Behind those lifeless eyes
A memory plays;
The day she lost her shine.

She is nothing now.
Just a rag doll,
Forgotten and lifeless;
Sprawled out on the floor.

there's a story behind this, im sure there is. The simplicty of it brings out the picture intended, the middle stanza, for me, is the key one. Thoughtful work.
