Beholder's beauty

Beholder's beauty

A Poem by iamshadowine

She was the best thing anyone could have ever written,
But people ignored her because of the cover she was wrapped within.
Nobody knew the beautiful words printed in her,
Nobody knew how knowledgeable she was.
She was a heavy book with love readable,
but everyone treated her as an untouchable.
She was an open book,
but no one was interested even for a look.
The first page had some words magical,
But the readers had to be logical.

This is beautiful and definitely for me. Like this is how I feel. An open book but no ones interested

Very sad but for some reason it made me smile.....I can actually relate to this....a very beautiful and witty way of comparing a so. woman to a book...

A clever twist on "not judging a book by its cover" -- well written and clear.

thank you:)
Well now, wow! This is exactly what happens nowadays: complexity is amazingly overlooked and underrated.

thankyou so much for your kind words! :D
Nice job of juxtaposing a woman and a book as being a deep, many times misunderstood & even avoided, delight for the adventurous lovers or readers. I absolutely love the comparison here. Your thoughts are expressed in fresh, unusual ways. I don't get the last line, tho. The word "logical" is not resonating with the rest of this poem, it seems. Good job!
