Yellow

Yellow is a very happy color. It can be used to express joy or excitement or contentment. I am hoping to capture something else. Something that isn't happy but is okay.

What if we could be happy,

like really, really happy.

No one's ever been that happy before.

Happy enough to not be able to imagine what it would feel like to not be happy.

I am often not happy,

but that is because I am rarely content with what I have, 

that is because I have a lot.

So what is happy?

Happy is not the modern definition of happy.

Happy is not liking something, or being well satisfied.

Happy is the feeling you get when they first open their eyes.

Happy is the feeling you get when he gets down on one knee.

Happy is the feeling you get when he comes up to you and nuzzles your arm with his snout (:))

Happy is the feeling you get when things seem to be going right for once in your life.

But then again-

I guess this is not happiness, but joy.

So once again you may disregard my efforts to persuade you because once again, I am wrong.

Until I'm happy, I will sit and ponder these things.

I find it hard to be truly joyful during these times. Sometimes, though, all you need is a good poetry book, some music, Whoppers, and your dog. That, is what makes me happy. :)
