Thought about it

Thought about it

A Poem by Orlando Murcia

I thought about staying in

and ordering take out
Then after dinner....
Some red velvet cheesescake

with a bottle of Lambrusco

or a sweet Moscato
Later

a movie

talk

Then dolphin dance the Ahmad jamal trio

with a settled smile and eye gazing heart beats

that see through fleshly skin knitted plates
But then,
Dinner and a movie sound just as nice

with a cocktail dancing under Hollywood lights
Watching your smile flash

like snap shots from the moon

as the heartbeats hold hands

to the repetitive groove
Either way

I get to spend some time

alone with you
That's all
I really
want to do
