Solitude Night

Solitude Night

A Poem by Panda

My heart is slowly suffocating

In this dark coffin of being alone

Laying solitude on a cold long night

I savor the scent of your fading cologne

The memories slowly pass

Blinding, blurring my eyes

Grip the pillow between my arms tighter

I try and figure out the beginning of these lies

When was the start of our end

Or was it there all along

Why did something so simple become complicated

Who was right and who was wrong

I’m filled with sorrow and empty of life

Spinning questions with answers I’m scared to face

I’m at a loss of everything

Realizing I’ve lost something I can’t replace

Maybe if I just try to pretend it didn’t happen

Time might mend this ripping seam

So with the exhaustion of a broken heart

I close my eyes with the fear to dream
