Lies and silence may be different 
to the giver 
but they are one in the same 
to the receiver 

To the giver 
lies are just words 
empty promises 
silence however 
is simply that 
emptiness, 
nothingness,
silence 

To the receiver 
they are deceivers 
concealing the sad, unspoken truth
