Hazards of the Horse's Mouth

Watching the TV
when some hate speech
berates me...
talking about the "enemy"
but I dont see
the purpose.
Is it really worth it
to embellish fear
in the moment.
This daddy-made millionaire
with hair
looking like pocket lint
fuzzier than his intent
can't really be our solution.
We're delusional if we think
that our problems cast out to sea
won't sink.
Distractions
keep us from seeing past
the past.
That 1st world attention span
doesn't last
too long
unless it's focused on
what is wrong
as opposed to right
but who determines
the sides in a fight.
Fabricated lies
to keep us despising
each other.
It'll be our demise
if we don't open our eyes
to the country we built
but refuse to organize.
