Beyond Brilliance

Beyond Brilliance

A Poem by Justin Tobey
"

Some of my ideas of what lies beyond our universe in the thousand and thousands of overlapping worlds I believe in.

"

Above the stars, beyond the sky,

Through the ancient mirror high,

Opalescent spirits live,

Keeping mem'ries yet to give.

Sparks of green and tones of blue,

Spin through unseen, secret hue.

Misty spheres play soundless tunes,

Making brilliant stars and moons.

Up through pearly, spinning lights,

Crystal doors show shining sights:

Past and Future shown in years,

Under veils of diamond tears.

Cloudy tunnels up and down,

Highest window to the ground,

Crystal bells of oldest song,

Play their tune the whole yearlong.

I'm not usually into typical rhyme schemes either, but I did like this piece a lot, especially Stanza two.

Very descriptive. Usually I don't like the typical rhyme schemes, but within this it really works. I like the imagery and the feeling of great wonders that may exist out there in the beyond. Good write.
