The Prophecy

The Prophecy

A Poem by Justin Tobey
"

This is a prophecy I wrote for a book I'm trying to write. I don't know if it's good or not, so please give me suggestions. Thanks!

"

A Stone of white, a Wall of black

Imprisoning the ancient pact.

The crystals red will break the chain,

A secret, bloody magic bane.

A line of light reborn at last

Shall learn the sacred skills of past:

To unseal gates and seal once more,

Ensnaring men inside the Core

A mystic sphere will lead the way

To age-old trees that moan and sway,

To lands of twilight and of might,

To stop the armies of the night.

The Spark of Silver holds the key

To realms of Death and spirits free,

To brilliant, piercing, holy beams,

A city far from what it seems.

When reviewing, please just focus on rhythm and rhyme. You may not understand the actual prophecy, because it's based on things from the book.

I think the rhythm and rhyme is fine - sounds like a witches brew - I would love to know the time period in which this book takes place.

I like it - sounds like an interesting story
