Spring

Spring

A Poem by Justin Tobey
"

This is the second poem in my series of seasonal descriptions. First was Summer, now Spring.

"

After dormant months,

Life seeps back into the land.

Warmth and love come back

To a world of shedding cold.

Plants flower and bloom,

Manifesting their joy.

Animals wake from sleep

To stretch and grow.

The days become longer

After a time of deep nights.

The world heralds the coming

Of myriad wonders.

The time of ice and water over,

Earth takes control,

Spreading its stability and strength

To every aspect of nature.

A time of new life

Where cold and darkness

Are shrugged off

And the world is born anew.
