Slave Dancing

Slave Dancing

A Poem by ~Sorcha~
"

two line contest, had to use two lines in the poem, and written on spot so it isn't the best

"

Like ice crystals glittering in unwanted skies

I danced for faces full of lies

Each grace-filled footfall a mere show of pride

Not mine but his, for mine had died

I, the slave, must do as the master wants

Even with the storms brewing taunts

Pitter pat, pitter pat goes the rain at a glance

Step step jump, step step twirl I continue to dance

As lightening shone and thunder blew
I danced the dance that dancers do

Drenched in wet and cold I stayed

My masters bid must be obeyed

That lightning should strike me where I stand

A greater gift no one could grant

About
I like to write; these past few years I have just hit writer's block after block. There are so many things in my life I could write about, but I can still never seem to find the words for any of it. .. more..
