Oh, I fear I´ve listened to the Mermaid´s song too long ...
Never even realised how long I´d listened,
Until it was too late, oh, much too late ...

Such a sweet song,
a melody composed of all my yearning ...
For loves I lost, I have and fear to loose,
loves I pined for unfulfilled and loves I never even knew I missed...

Such a sad song,
a melody composed of all my sorrow ...
From memories of of loss and pain and separations,
Loved ones that I lost along my way,
The weightlessness and immortality of younger years,
Dreams I lost and killed and squandered ...

Such an encouraging song,
a melody composed of all my hopes ...
From those dreams I haven´t squandered,
But quietly, safely kept inside my heart ...

What are these dreams?
Hush, my Darling, speaking them alone might break them!
The Mermaids, yes, they know my secret ...
But they guard it well as they guard you,
Until my hopes return you safe to me.

But for now, the Mermaids´ soulful song has cast its spell,
And, mind diving on the sirens´ song in unknown waters,
I am lost and drifting ...
