Torn and Mended

Torn and Mended

A Poem by siry
"

a very short summary of my past to present.

"
In a family filled with happiness
five hearts are bound as one
Four stay strong and one is weak
The weak becomes undone

His heart was filled with many deaths
from which he will not recover
He goes insane and through all the pain
his soul begins to shudder

At only eight he stands at the gate
waiting for an answer
Instead he's grabbed and dragged away
his screams go on unanswered

For four long years he waits in a corner
He already lost his mind
He dreams of one day turning around
his parents he hopes to find

The day his parents free him from this prison
This remake of torment and hell
they take him away to a place up north
that prison is no place to dwell

He slowly heals and finds a mate
from which a baby was born
Two months of happiness follow him
for now he will not mourn

at last he went to check on his daughter
only to find her dead
A week of mourning is too much to bare
he thought he would no more dread

A week went on
This time he was not the one to fall
His mate committed suicide
He was crushed by another brick wall

He moved away to get so far
from that town of nothing but sorrows
He wanted to end his life
but decided to wait for tomorrow

His day went on with no good feelings
until that fateful moment
He opened his eyes and saw her there
his angel and perfect woman

She calms him down and makes him smile
even when she's not there
He decides to take a leap of faith
His life has just been spared

She nods yes and he is happy
the happiest he's ever been
In a battle between good and bad
the good will surely win

He waits until he can take her hand
Marriage is what he wants
Until that time he looks to the future
the past creates no more taunts

Bravo!....for the first few stanzas. I think after that the flow gets really mixed and kinda breaks loose. But the story has a good plot, a beginning and end all you have to do is fix the kinks to make it flow. =)
