The Art of Giving

The Art of Giving

A Poem by registeredisaster

There people who always speak the truth

Your life with them always a sleuth

I love them truly, with all my heart

So why do we slowly fall apart?

The promises given with easy breathe

Are the promises broken before death

I'd give plenty for their health

Yet i would die before the twelfth

I give, and give until im numb

But they will always be my sun

Feelings leave me when away

I know now where i must always stay

Break my heart into pieces

And wrap them around you like warm fleeces

My life to you i'll always give

You need only promise me that you'll live

What a a beautiful tribute for all those you care for. I have some suggestions...grammar mostly, for example:
Their people who always speak the truth

I would suggest instead...There are people who always speak the truth
When finished with a writing...reread it over and over again to yourself. You will catch most mistakes by reading it out load, spell check, etc....
