2 a.m. Song

2 a.m. Song

A Poem by kaycee

it's 2 a.m.

i'm heaving in the street

i can hear music

but i crash to its beat

who knew that this rejection

would be this bitter

sweet

you are the worst

when you turn my words

to diamond dirt

infested with the disease

that makes me shake

each time i make this same mistake

and fall into this shallow pit

and every time

i try to quit

you, i just make it into

a grave.

my 2 a.m. song's playing loud.

I love these lines
"who knew that this rejection
would be this bitter
sweet
you are the worst
when you turn my words
to diamond dirt
infested with the disease
that makes me shake
each time i make this same mistake"

A lot. You captured exactly how I've been feeling all week.
