blurred emotions

blurred emotions

A Poem by kevin valencia
"

i wrote this after seeing an art piece my godmother gave me. what insperation

"

Sometimes… all the time, I feel
Like a stamp pressed too many times.

Blurred Emotions, smudged
And on the table,
Covered by a cloth.

A barrier of things,
Things I put on.
Ironing my face to put for show.

Hiding behind a smile, when
I’m walking a tight rope of sorrow.

Then I retreat into my mind
Having a blank stare
Fearing an inevitable explosion.

Only made free, when
I give it away. Never to be seen again
And have it be taken away by the Wind.

Lots hide behind a mask so they won't show there true face to the world.
It's like living in a masquerade for the rest of your life.
Great piece you have here. Well done.
