Goodbye John

Goodbye John

A Poem by That One Chick
"

my father's girlfriend's son died in April 2009. I wrote this the day i first went to the cemetary.

"

Gone

Gone forever

Nothing will ever bring you back

And your boy

Poor junior will never know his father

He will only know you through pictures and stories

Poor junior

They miss you, you know

We miss you

Everyone that has known you misses you

We visited you today

Junior was sleeping

Let him sleep

Addie, your mom, my dad, two friends, and me came over to you

You were my brother, in a way at least.

You would have been

I don’t blame you

I used to but now I don’t

I never will

It was a mistake

A plain old Joe Shmo mistake

And everyone makes mistakes

I don’t blame you.

I hope that you are somewhere

With that smile

Watching your son grow

He loves you

Goodbye John,

            Sik.
