Thoughts of a graduate

Thoughts of a graduate

A Poem by Skylar Lighten
"

I'm leaving student life behind in a month. For the first time, I'm terrified of the unknown.

"

Completing my bachelor's degree, this month draws near,

A mix of feelings, apprehension clear.

I'm leaving student life behind in a month.

For the first time, I'm terrified of the unknown.

Excitement for adulthood, does it hold delight?

Or am I just scare, of once more taking flight?

I’ve often leapt, left my comfort zone behind,

Embraced the unknown, a new path to find.

But now, uncertainty clouds my mind,

Will I fit in this new world I’ll find?
