The setting is theres a table in the middle of the room with two chairs on both ends and a small area in the corner where theres a counter ( or something that would make the area seem like a kitchen) and Yuri is making breakfast when she hears a knock at the door she calls out to Dan

Yuri
Dan there's someone at the door!

Dan enter the stage

Dan
Its okay I'll answer it

Dan opens the door and Jacob walks in with a worried look

Jacob
Where have you been? I haven't seen you in a week? Have you lost weight? You look terrible

Dan smiles

I've been here with yuri

Jacob
You still see her?

Dan
.... Yeah

Jacob
Dude the funeral was a week ago? I'm not saying that you should forget about her but... You know she's not really there right?

Dan
Well I know she's dead but she's still here ... I can see her... I means she's making me breakfast right now

Dan smirks

There's a little part of me that's yelling at me saying that I've gone insane but is it really that bad to want to keep living with yuri even if it is all just in my mind

Jacob
You look really bad dude...Here lets sit down

They both sit down

is he joining us for breakfast Dan ?

Jacob sighs

There is no god and if there is when i join yuri he's going to have to beg me for forgiveness .... who the hell would create some one and tell them to find your purpose and when you finally find it to just take it away from you!

Dan looks at yuri with a look of wanting

I know that this world is just terrible but that doesn't mean you can just mop around and hallucinate all day then start contemplating suicide

Yuri starts wipes her hands and turns to Dan

Yuri exits the stage. Jacob looks at Dan still with a worried look. He speaks with the a sympathetic tone

Dan looks at Jacob intensively

You don't know what it's like all I do is think of her when im asleep I dream of her doing little things like watch tv or cook and when I wake up it just feels like she just left to get groceries or some other mundane task… I see her everywhere and when I go out side I swear I here her whisper my name. I swear I see her opening the front door and telling me to come inside before I get sick or something. I swear it feels real

Jacob
You can't live like this

Dan looks down at the table

Is it wrong for me to want to go on this way ?is this really that wrong ?

Dan looks at Jacob once again

I don't care even if it is. I'm happy like this and even if its not real I want to pretend it is

Dan looks up and has a disgusted look on his face

Yuri calls from off stage

Dans face brightens up as soon as he hearss Yuri's voice

Jacob gets up knocking his chair down and looks at Dan angrily

She's not there! Why? Why Dan? Is it so hard to face reality? Why do you insist she's there? She's gone and she's never coming back...

Jacob says in a softer voice and with a look of pitty

Dan gets up to leave

Jacob walks of stage the same way he came in

The lights turn off and then revive once again to show Jacob standing there along with a coworker there is a table in the setting and they both have a cup of coffe

So dans funeral is tomorrow? Are you going

Coworker drinks from coffe

Jacob
Yeah.... Man I just cant believe he's gone … I didn't think that he would actually commit suicide... Maybe I could have helped him …

Coworker
There was nothing you could have done …Maybe it's for the best ... I mean ever since yuri died he just didn't know what to do maybe he's with god and yuri now

I don't believe in that... I don't think that there's a god that could be so cruel

Jacob and coworker put their cups on the table an the co worker runs of stage while the lights start to dim as Jacob slowly walks out and once the lights are off you can still hear his foot steps slowly walking away
