The Mask

The Mask

A Poem by slfisher89

Look at

that face

it is but,

a mask

Beams of joy and happiness

Hides

deep

desolation;

tremendous

turmoil;

Molded long ago

Could not have been

made

piece

by

piece

For it was always needed

to protect the soul

within but,

wait

look

aging

Just a face.
