Don't press play

Don't press play

A Poem by slfisher89
"

30/30

"
Gray backdrop, black clouds
Set the scene
Torrential rain obscures all--
almost, but the headstones
and small red box

Pause
Our tears freeze still

Rewind
Tiny room
Stark white
Pained-raspy breathing
Spiderweb of tubes
Monotone monitor

Rewind
Bald head; tiny smile
Picked over plate
Dwindling appetite
Tight-soft hug

Rewind
Color-drenched sky
Warm sunset
Flowing bronze hair
Giggle-filled swing

Pause
If I don't press play; it doesn't have to be
