Cloud polka dotted blue sky

Sun-warmed head

forest-cooled body

birds sing call and response

squirrels scamper with leaves

roasting leaves greet the nose

smooth-hardness of tree bark

resound under fingertips

cool-dense, soft ground

cushion my feet
