![]() a treatise on loveA Poem by Clark![]() a lover waxing spensarian...![]() Sing, muse, of life and love and lasting hope. Tell them the story of the love we share Tell them of the cords that make strong this rope. And how gay we did play in summer fair. Oh, muse, how you have trapped me with your stare. 'Hind those lucid eyes, 'hind fair (fell?!) beauty's face, Rests a noble mind full of kindess rare, The loving heart behind the carapace. Come, muse, with gazes full of love, form full of grace.
This strange phenomenon within my breast Renders me out of control of my mind. Known by the shivers from my toes to my crest. To be with you, I'd leave all life behind. Like the sun you shine, leaving my eyes blind. Without you, my tears never cease to flow. The lessons I learn, I cease not to find: Being with you, I've learned enough to grown. You've brought joyous pain beyond all that I know. © 2008 Clark |
