Spellbound By Love

An ex actually wrote this for me. It's very personal and beautiful writing. I would just like to know what other though of it...

I hold you tight to feel your pain
but still im pushed away in vain
its only your body i long to hold
but you're in the new, i guess im old
your loving caress remains the best
damn i miss you sleepin on my chest
and our little boy is over a year old
used to go everywhere with our scruppy dog
and if maggie mae were here today
she'd bark at birds and frolic with mac dre
if your dad was out, we'd have a laugh
that man believes our love could last
but years have past and things have changed
but my love for you remains the same
if only this feeling was ever mutual
i look beyond the bad to see whats beautiful
a vision of us together at the altar
hand in hand, heart to heart we profess our honor
black, white and red kiss church walls as we're wed
through families faces joy is bled as warm tears are shed
at that fateful moment when our lips collide
souls intertwine, til the end of time i claim my bride
you held my child, for this i'm forever drawn
from dusk til dawn, i ponder on "why have you gone?"
there is no other girl i want to have my baby
and you are crazy if you think another could be my lady
but still you choose not to pay your dues
you play the game and refuse to lose
you seem to forget our loves' still intact
this atrocious game ends once u step back
retracing steps is a privilege, though you'd claim it a burden
a once dark, chasmic path filled with light makes me certain
that mending the present is simply accepting the past
if the ground beneath you is weak, don't think it won't last
im here to catch you, not sweat you and hold you up high
future foundations are strong, you gotta just try
put your all into us, but remember deceit is never a plus
demons once hidden are exposed, for this you must trust
its human nature to mistake, its godlike to learn
from trials we've faced, all respect is earned
but with all set aside, i need you to know
our love is eternal, if you ever feel low
just recite these words and feel strength from above
because no matter our fates, we are spellbound by love

[Coyote Poetry]

A lot of pain and struggle in the poem. Also a lot of positive. Sometime the bad times bring two people closer. The poem told a strong story. I like the ending. A excellent poem. Thank you.
