In a School of Crimson and Gold

In a School of Crimson and Gold

A Poem by Kathleen Burlas
"

I used simple diction in this sonnet and a bit of informality [e.g Barbies]

"

In a school of crimson and gold

Where Barbies rule and dominate

I met this guy of beauty and might

Treasures are in his innocent eyes

Like a storm flooding my only sight

Everywhere I go, Enchanted in his ways

He stands out in a crowd like mighty Zeus

And in a school of crimson and gold

Where education is the heart

I had met this pretty amazing guy

Walked on his paths on sunny days

Searched his footprints everywhere

On his smiles I found the road

And started out a journey to his heart
