FIRST-LOVE "LESSON

First love

Maiden love

Naïve love

Fresh and vibrant love

Mistook for eternal love

She translated his gazes into promises..

Interpreted his smiles as tickets for a long travel

Meetings with him as an invitation..

For oneness in togetherness till death..

Her sleeps suffered

Her studies suffered..

Her physique suffered

Her soul cried aloud

One day she broke out

I love you I love you

I want to live with you

I want to die with you

He said..

Infatuation is the symptom of age

By which you get trapped in a cage

Go to the church and consult the sage

He will save you from the damage

She cried for succor

Scratched her wounds in solitude

‘Time’ the only doctor stood with her..

It let the puss out and emptied the blister

That was sore with cravings unaccomplished..

The scar of her first love

Guided her, goaded her

Her teacher, her scar..

Taught her to discriminate

Infatuation from love..

Lessons of love..

Are invaluable…

As it trains one..

To tread..

Without staggering.

Amazing one and thank you so much for commanding me to read this.
It is so true that it happens with everyone who fall in love and very few are there whose first love is a success in their life but most of them always fail in expressing the love or continuing their relation.
Its so truly said the initially you love him then when you broke up it teaches a lot to you, how to survive and how to manage your emotions.
Beautiful!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing Jeny!!!!

You told a true story in this poem. New love is raw and hard. With age I learn to slow down. Enjoy the good things and do it correct. Can't enjoy anything when you are in a rush. Slow and easy pace made the pleasure in a life worthwhile. I like the ending. We look back and wish we were more patience and had more time. A excellent poem.
