Boulevard of Broken Dreams

Boulevard of Broken Dreams

A Poem by Godwin Snow
"

A found poem I made

"

Illness likes to prey open the lonely.

I’ve spent too many late nights just thinking a hole in earth

And I’m so happy because I’ve found my friends

They’re in my head.

All day staring at the ceiling

All the pain and truth

I begin to assemble what weapons I can find

‘Cause sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind.

I think there’s a flaw in my code

Spirits are in my head and they won’t go

And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad

The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had.

The loneliness is haunting me

And the weight of the world is getting harder to hold up

And I’m sorry but this is my fate

Everything is worthless, no one wants me to stay.

I love it! some cannot face reality because the truth hurts. so when you face it, its so very painful that you need to kill the thoughts.
I could relate!!
