I spent some time thinking about a friend

as he diminished with the days

Acquaintance

Person

Stranger

Human

Mouse.

Then he was gone

The world had consumed him.

I enjoyed the last line because it leaves a sense of ending. Nicely done. Keep writing!! :)

I really enjoyed this piece. It made me think of life cycles in the social sense. Great!

Good idea here, a fast shift in perspective, well worked on..
