Poem About Death!!

TAKE A BREATH!!

 

One moment your sitting there,

in your good old raggedy chair.

The next moment, you're lost

and don't know where you

are, and realize you have

traveled very far.

You try and take a breath

and know, something's wrong,

only silence, no song.

All you knew, the people,

places and things are gone,

replaced with confusion,

what an intrusion!!

You walk down a road,

dusty with time, to find

where you must go,

and realize your lost,

you just don't know.

The trees seem greener,

than you remember,

and the sweetness of

the birds, chirping

so finely,

flowers so fragrant,

everything so free,

wandering water flowing

like your love for me.

Take a breath, you try

with strength,

you try, you go to

great, great lengths.

You grow tired and

seem to think of all

the things you've left

behind,

and know you must

continue down,

the road that winds.

You come upon a

long dead man, and

realize he was your

dad.

You can't believe you

see him now,

and then you know,

in the bright sunlight,

you must have died

in the cold, last night.

You wish your family

and friends were here,

but realize some who'd

already left, have taken

all your fear.

You grab your dad's

hand, hence he must

guide,

to a better place on

the water's side.

You wonder if all

who are left behind,

will be fine,

and know the angels

are watching over them,

today, now and forever,

until you meet again,

one fine day, like a

summer's day,

that never ends,

and you got there,

somehow,

right where the road

bends.
