Fading but a Step Away

Fading but a Step Away

A Poem by Sage Kallen
"

Do you ever wonder why people bother to try when their heart lies elsewhere?

"

Touch my heart then tear it apart.

Heal these wounds yet leave the scar.

Act like you care yet you’re never there.

Pretend I’m something but we both know I’m nothing.

Play me like a game and leave me insane.

Pray for my wellbeing but it’s all the same.

Watch me fade, step away, watch me fade, step away.

Hold my breath a single time and wish me a fair goodbye.

Watch me fade, step away, watch me fade, step away,

into nothingness.

I loved it, speaks volumes about people's true intentions. Why bother faking when it's clearly noticed? Thanks for sharing! Good job.
