Picket's Patch

Picket's Patch

A Poem by Sojourner

Shred of cloth

washed soft

color running to color

barbed wire casualty

snagged-flag marker

strumming two o'clock wind

whipping top fence strand to A Major

when buckshot thunder rocketed

across green fuzz of leaves

grey-striped humps

one hump erupting

seeds  following

young summer theives over

guitar-tight wire

Interesting imagery. Not sure, but is this a prison break perhaps? Lovely writing though no matter what it is. Well done.
